Charlie (Sharukh Khan) wants to take revenge on Grover (Jackie Shroff) as he has connected false to his father. Charlie makes a team of Charlie’s Angels and  the team include Boman Irani (Safe Cracker), Abhishek Bachchan (Look Alike of Grover’s son), Sonu Sood (Bomb Expert) and Vivaan (Hacking Expert). They plan to rob Grover’s diamond from a hotel in Dubai during a dance participation in the hotel. The team ropes up a Bar Dancer Deepika for training them in dance. Slowly they start putting up things into action and the rest of the story is how they win the competition and did they steal the diamond?

The main highlight of the film is the simplicity in the concept and narrating it with lot of entertainment. The first of the film starts introducing the characters and once they are explained, the movie turns out into entertainment mode. The movie continues its pace till the interval and the movie ends up with a highly entertaining first half.

The second half of the movie starts slow and the movie has good entertainment in the second half too as the first half. The movie becomes predictable at times but the entertainment makes the film tight and the characters played by the cast have been well written so that they end up doing their best. The second half of the movie has high entertainment elements too and the climax ends up lavishly.

Sharukh Khan has done his best performance and he has suited well in the character of Charlie. He has done the comedy with lot of ease and the diolague delivery of Sharukh should have a special mention. Abhishek deserves a special mention for his tapori ‘Nandu’ act. Deepika Padukone adds one more superb film with her performance with her Marathi accent. Her dance movements have been superb. Sonu Sood have been seen doing some superb dance movements.

The story of the film is very simple and it has been narrated adding lot of entertainment. The screenplay of the movie has been very good and the photography of the film is top notch. The choreography of the movie should have a special mention and the music is an asset for the film. The production values have been very rich and the huge erected sets, stunning locations are the examples for the best production values. With some sensible hits already in her list, Farah Khan adds one more suberb film with some decent narration in which she completely succeeds.

Final Word:

Happy New Year has some nice entertainment added with some huge star cast and a perfect director to make it big for a normal plot. The movie has been tipped with entertainment and will be a box-office winner for sure. On the whole Happy New Year will not disappoint you. Go watch it.
