PC’s ‘Mary Kom’ gets Tax Free Status

It seems that state governments are encouraging woman centric films by declaring a tax free status for them. Recently, it has been reported that Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had declared Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani’ as tax free in Maharashtra. The latest update is that Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming ‘Mary Kom’ has also been declared tax free in Maharashtra. Speaking about this, PC stated that it is wonderful news and this film is a tribute to all the unsung sports people who give so much to keep the Indian flag flying high.

Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this biopic is about the Indian Olympic boxer Mary Kom and it has been issued a ‘U’ certificate by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The first look and the theatrical trailer of Mary Kom has receieved terrific response from the moive lovers. The expectations on Mary Kom have reached clouds now. Directed by Omung Kumar, ‘Mary Kom’ is slated to release on September 5th.
