Ranveer’s Bajirao Mastani Updates

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Dream Project Bajirao Mastani is a period film based on the legendary love story between Peshwa Baji Rao and his second wife Mastani. Ranveer Singh and his alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone were finalized as the lead pair for this huge project. According to Ranveer, he has blocked off an entire year for this film alone and he is excited about this film. He will be joining the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ team on October 3rd after wrapping his upcoming film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and the actor will be showcased in a bald look in this epic film. While Deepika will join the team, after completing the promotions of her most anticipated film Happy New Year.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this film features Priyanka Chopra as Bajirao’s first wife Kashibai. Jointly produced by SLB and Eros International, the estimated budget for this period film is Rs 210 crores and it may well be the most expensive Indian film ever produced till date. The news is that Ranveer and SLB have slashed down their remunerations and they will be taking some part of the share in profits. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been working on the script from quite some time. The movie will be shot exclusively in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
