Liar’s Dice in Oscar Race

Geethu Mohandas's Hindi film Liar's Dice has been selected as India's entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 2015 Oscars.Liar’s Dice has Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Geetanjali Thapa in lead roles. This film has been selected by a 12 member jury headed by T Hariharan. Liar’s Dice has been set all along the Himachal-Tibet border, deals with issue of migration. The movie has bagged two National Film awards including Best Actress for Geetanjali Thapa and Best Cinematography for Rajeev Rai and then the movie caught attention and became popular.
Director Geetu Mohandas is also a popular actress in Malayalam cinema and Liar’s Dice is her first Hindi film as Director. Liar's Dice was also selected for screening at the Sundance Film Festival and International Film Festival Rotterdam. The film has been shot on a very low budget and the shoot of the film has been completed in a month. Wishing Liar’s Dice unit the best and hope the movie will win an oscar which is much needed.
