'Band Bajaa Baraat' to be remade in Tamil as "Aaha Kalyanam"

After tasting great success in Bollywood Yash Raj Films is all set to make its debut in the regional sphere now.
And what better way to kickoff the journey than making a regional version of their Bollywood hot "Band Baaja Baarat".
To be titled as "Aaha Kalyanam" in Tamil, the film will star Nani in the lead - the role essayed by Ranveer Singh in the Hindi original. Vani Kapoor of “Shuddh Desi Romance” has been roped in as the female lead in the project.
Gokul, ex-assistant to Vishnu Vardhan, will be at the helm of things here. Dharan will compose the music.
Will “Aaha Kalyanam” be as big a success as its original Ranveer-Anushka starrer or will it clock ever a bigger success is something for the time to tell. As of now, the film looks bright and big and we hope it marks a successful run for YRF at the regional box-office.
