Mastizaade, Waiting for a while gets through Censor

Riteish Deshmukh, who has recently become a father said that his film "Mastizaade" that was waiting for the certification from Censor Board for quite some time now has finally got it.

He congratulated the team of the film, including his co-star Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor, Vir Das along with director Milap Zaveri and producers Rangita Nandy and Pritish Nandy on micro-blogging site Twitter.

"Censor Certificate for Mastizaade congrats @PritishNandy @zmilap @RangitaNandy @SunnyLeone @thevirdas and @TusshKapoor," tweeted Riteish.

Earlier it was reported that the film was a sex-comedy and was awaiting certification from the board because of its bold and sexual content, and hence the movie was not cleared for release in June.

Later, the film was sent to the Revising Committee for a review, but again the committee found the content too bold for the public to watch. It was also reported that following this, the makers of the film decided to approach the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal.

Now that she can see the film on screen soon, Sunny Leone too is excited with the news.

"Everyone who said to us it would not happen!! Well to all those, faith and determination and inner MastiZaade took over @MastizaadeFilm," she tweeted.

"So beyond excited @MastizaadeFilm is ready to be released to the world!!@zmilap @RangitaNandy @TusshKapoor @thevirdas," she further tweeted.

Actually, the film was slated to release on May 1, 2015 but, as of June 1, 2015 is still being held back by the Censor Board owing to its sexual content.
