Talvar Creates a Sensation

Bollywood has recently witnessed huge change in the genre of movies made. After some stupendous hits like Oh My God and Kahaani, the makers have been showing interest in movies that fall in the genre of thriller. Made on a limited budget, the movies minted huge money at the box-office. One such sensation is Talvar which is based on the murder case of Arushi Talwar and her servant. The interesting thing is the parents of Arushi were convicted which made the makers show interest in making a film. Meghna Gulzar directed the movie and Irrfan Khan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah played the lead roles.

Talvar released last weekend and the movie received huge response from the movie lovers. The movie has been critically acclaimed all over and the collections have been quite strong because of the huge positive word of mouth. The movie collected Rs 16 crores in its opening weekend which is huge in the limited screens. The collections are now rock steady and all the multiplexes have increased the number of screens on the weekdays because of the huge demand for tickets. The screen count has been doubled in the second week which proves the potential of the film.
