Super Sensational actor Akshay Kumar managed to release five films this year with Baby, Hey Bro, Gabbar Is Back, Brothers, Singh Is Bling out of which most of them ended as decent entertainers at the box-office. He has recently wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming movie Airlift which has been directed by Raja Krishna Menon. Nimrat Kaur and Lena played the other important roles in the film and Amaal Malik, Ankit Tiwari composed the music.

The theatrical trailer of the movie has been released and Airlift is based on a real incident which is said to be the biggest human evacuation ever in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war. The movie has been shot exclusively in Dubai, Kuwait and in Rajasthan. Akshay specially learnt Arabic for the film as he played Kuwait based businessman in the movie. Airlift has been slated for release on January 22nd 2016.
