Exclusive: Making of Azhar

It’s pouring it out in Bollywood and sports biopics have become the major trend all over currently. After stupendous hits like Bhaag Milka Bhaag and Mary Kom, many top filmmakers have been busy the sports biopics.

One such film is Azhar which is the life story of Indian ex-skipper and star cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Talented actor Emraan Hashmi is playing the lead role in the movie as Azhar in the film and the recently released promotional pictures and teasers created enough sensation all over. It has been revealed that Mohammad Azharuddin has been personally training Emraan to fit into his shoes.

The makers have now released the making video of Azharuddin training Emraan the batting techniques and the making video is the portrayal of their off screen hard work. Emraan revealed that he loved to play the role of Azharuddin and he was well bonded with him on the sets of the movie.

Directed by Tony D’Souza the movie features Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi, Gautam Gulati and Kunaal Roy Kapoor in the other prominent roles in Azhar. Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures produced the movie which will hit the screens on May 13th across the world.
