Udta Punjab has become the most talked and most controversial film of all the times in Bollywood. The movie has been in news ever since the theatrical trailer has been released and the movie faced major blow from the members of the censor board. However once the issue has been sorted out, the copy of the film has been leaked online which left the makers in shock. Finally crossing all the obstacles, Udta Punjab made it for release on Friday.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Udta Punjab released all over on June 17th across the world and the movie received mixed response from the audience. Udta Punjab collected Rs 10.5 crores on its first day across the country. The collections have been strong across the North Indian circles and in cities across the country. Phantom Films along with Balaji Motion Pictures produced the movie jointly. The performances by the lead actors have been widely appreciated.
