Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar seems to be on a record breaking spree and he already scored two massive hits with Airlift and Housefull 3 this year. The actor’s third outing Rustom released during the Independence Day and the movie ended up as a massive hit all over. Tinu Suresh Desai directed this intense action thriller and Ileana D’Cruz played the female lead. The movie has been declared as a blockbuster and the film collected Rs 90.90 crores in its first week.

This happenned to be the highest first week grosser among Akshay Kumar’s films. Rustom dominated Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro completely and the movie ended up as a massive debacle. Akshay Kumar has been quite happy with the result of the film and Neeraj Pandey, Aruna Bhatia, Nittin Keni, Akash Chawla, Virender Arora, Ishwar Kapoor and Shital Bhatia produced Rustom on Zee Studios, KriArj Entertainments, Cape of Good Films and Plan C Studios banners.
