SRK’s Happy New Year Postponed

Bollywood Badhshaah Shah Rukh Khan's hugely awaited film 'Happy New Year' will now be released on October 24 which is a day behind the expected date October 23 which happens to be Diwali. According to sources, Farah wanted to release the film on Diwali but it was SRK who decided to postpone as he feels that audiences will not prefer to step out of their homes on Diwali as they would perform Laxmi Puja at home. Interestingly, last year it was Rakesh Roshan who decided to release his ‘Krissh 3’ on Diwali day but at the last minute, he released it two days earlier. Happy New Year is an Action and Comedy Drama directed by Farah Khan and produced by Sharukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainments. The film cast includes Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sarah Jane Dias, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood and Jackie Shroff. The film will be distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films. Happy New Year will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
