Karan Johar is on cloud 9 and why not? After all, his 'Hasee Toh Phasee' has been minting great success at the box-office.

The 25cr Parineeti Chopra and Siddharth Malhotra starrer odd-ball rom-com has grossed over 11 crores over the weekend as well as garnered rave reviews from most quarters in just the opening week.

Directed by first-time director Vinil Mathew and co-produced by Karan's Dharma Productions and Anurag Kashyap's Phantom Productions

With no major release in sight until Valentine's Day when Gunday hits the screens, the film is expected to gross higher.

"In two days, 'Hasee...' collected between Rs 9 and Rs 10 crore. The Sunday collections will help decide whether the film is a hit or not," Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines told IANS

"It's a nice comedy genre and young actors are there in the film. It picked up well. The opening day saw around 70 percent occupancy, but the figure went up to 80 percent on weekend. The occupancy is good, the film has been appreciated," said Gautam Dutta, COO, PVR Cinemas.

Parineeti is also thrilled by the film's response. Expressing her happiness on Twitter, she wrote: "Thank you for the amazing response guys! We sure are happy."
