Arijit receives threat call from underworld don Ravi Pujari demanding money

It is evident that the threat calls from the underworld to Bollywood stars is always speculated and a troubled story. It dates back to the emergence of Bollywood and its popularity within the underworld.

While many stars in past have fallen prey to such an inciden, this time the unfortunate one to receive one such call is Arijit Singh.

According to reports, mafia don Ravi Pujari has reached out to Bollywood singer Arijit Singh and reportedly made an extortion call to the singer demanding Rs 5 crore.

When Arijit denied of having such a huge amount, the gangster then wanted him to do some shows for free.

According to IBN Live report, the calls were made to the singer's manager.

It has also been reported that Arijit did not file any FIR against the gangster, but informed of this call to Oshiwara police.

This is not the first time that Ravi Pujari has made threat calls to celebrities. In the past, he had targeted Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and others.

Meanwhile, Singh took to Twitter to address the media. "It's a humble request to media to stop bothering me about news. There are other important things happening in India," he tweeted.

Arijit was shot to fame with Tum hi ho and duaa. He is also seen performing at live shows in cities and metros.
