Kamal to officially announce Balaji's next

Balaji Tharaneetharan, the director of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, is all set to begin work on his second film. We hear that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will officially announce the cast and crew of the film today, which has been titled Oru Pakka Kathai.

Actor Jayaram's son Kalidas is likely to make his acting debut with this film. Kalidas's mimicry performance at an award function recently seems to have impressed the director, who sources say, is likely to cast him in the lead role.

A source close to the unit says, "The film will be launched today in the city by Kamal Haasan. Although Kamal is not a part of the project, the team feels that his presence at the launch will make a difference. Interestingly, the audio of Balaji's debut film, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, was also launched by Kamal." Kamal has been actively part of most of the audio launches these days. But this is the first time he will be announcing a project.
