Maniratnam’s Next Project

Top director Maniratnam has become the pride of South Indian cinema and he scored massive hits in his career. He has been out of commercial track with his recent movies as they lacked proper content due to the expectations on this versatile director. His last flick OK Bangaram which is a breezy entertainer ended up collecting decent figures in its final run. The movie has been released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages and the music along with the cinematography and the performance of the lead actors are said to be the highlights. As per the latest news, Maniratnam is currently working on his next project.

Sources say that young actor Karthi is being considered for the lead role in his upcoming movie which is said to be a romantic entertainer. Kajal Agarwal will romance Karthi in the movie and the script work of the film is currently under process. Karthi is yet to listen to the final draft and the news is that Karthi has earlier worked as an assistant director for Maniratnam in the past. The regular shoot of the movie is expected to start once Karthi wraps up his current commitments and the movie will be produced by Maniratnam on Madras Talkies banner. More details soon.
