Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika attends Kochadaiiyaan audio release with Rajinikanth

Mega star Rajinikanth is back, and in a never before-seen kind of an avatar in year's much awaited release 'Kochadaiiyaan', India's answer to James Cameron's 'Avatar''. In tow is B-town's reigning actress Deepika Padukone, who too is being seen in a lesser imaginable role.

The title, meaning 'the king with a long curly mane', stars the mega hero in multiple, larger-than-life roles.The theatrical trailer of ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, which was launched just recently, is quite a visual spectacle. Rajinikanth as the warrior king is seen leading an army, riding chariots, slaying four wolves in a single swoop, going aerial on a pair of horses, and wielding swords and javelins with the poise of an intrepid warrior.

Like all other Rajinikanth events, even the audio release function of 'Kochadaiiyaan' was a magnanimous affair with Shah Rukh Khan flying down south to grace the do. A. R Rahman, who has composed the music for this ambitious enterprise, was also present during the event.

Directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya, the photo-realistic movie is the first of its kind of film to be made in the country and a technical leap in the realms of Indian cinema.

Also starring Jackie Shroff, Shobana, R. Sarath Kumar, Aadi Pinisetty, Nasser and Rukmini, "Kochadaiiyaan" is slated for April 11 grand release worldwide.
