Shankar Confirms Robo 2 Start Date

South India’s sensational director Shankar created huge sensation with his movies. All his movies ended up collecting huge figures at the box-office except his last movie ‘I’ with which he tasted his first failure. Shankar is now back with the sequel of his super successful film Robo starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai. The movie ended as a huge hit and Shankar is now gearing up for the sequel. Robo 2 has been launched officially on Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 12^th with a pooja ceremony.

The regular shoot of Robo 2 starts from today and Shankar confirmed the news through his official twitter page. Amy Jackson will play the female lead and Rajinikanth will join the shoot from January 2016. AR Rahman will compose the music and the estimated budget of the movie is said to be Rs 250 crores. Lyca Productions who earlier produced Vijay’s Kaththi is producing the movie which will have extensive VFX works throughout the movie. Rajinikanth and Shankar are quite excited about the movie and the main negative lead is yet to be finalized. Robo will complete all the formalities and will hit the screens during summer 2017.
