Pros of oily skin
Posted: 05/29/2015 08:16 PM IST
Although a lot of people totally dislike greasy epidermis, it has many benefits. Here are five benefits of having an oily skin.
Slower aging: Oily skin tends to be a bit thicker, and has a higher natural protection factor than dry skin. Having this skin benefits you by delaying ageing.
Natural glow to your skin: The shine on your oily face doesn't look bad all the time. If you care your skin properly, you can see your skin as dewy and youthful.
Sun damage resistance: While sunscreen is still our best defence against skin damage caused by UV rays, oily skin tends to actually boost the effects of SPF, leaving us a bit more protected than our friends without excess oil.
Much slower rate of aging: People with dry skin show the signs of aging much faster than the ones with oily skin. Wrinkles and fine lines get camouflaged by the oily skin.
Low maintenance: Yes, you don't need those heavy foundations that wear out in the middle of the day. A simple dash of face powder and you are ready to go.
