Essential oils with therapeutic benefits

Many essential oils are available in the market nowadays. Some oils are known to have therapeutic benefits and some have tendency to destroy health. So it is important to distinguish between good and bad fats to prevent diseases. They may be extracted from plants, flower or animal, every oils has their own ability to fight against diseases. Using an adequate amount of right kind of fats and oils plays important role in preventing many diseases and also helps in slowing down ageing.
Avocado oil:
Avocado oil offers a variety of purported nutritional and medicinal benefits that are supported by science. It can be used as a beneficial skin care product, for special scalp treatments, medicinal purposes, and in healthy cooking. Avocado oil is rich in antioxidants, making it useful for healing sun-damaged skin. It is rich with Sterolin which facilitates in softening of skin and if topically applied it helps in reliving dry and itchy skin.
Pumpkin oil:
Pumpkin seed oil has many positive health effects. It helps in preventing hair loss and also protects men’s prostate from BHP as it is rich in Zinc. It has been long valued for their anti-microbial benefits including anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. It also helps in preventing hair loss. It shows positive effects on skin, treating arthritis and many other health issues.
Coconut oil:
Coconut oil has amazing health benefits that are associated with hair, skin, weight loss, maintaining cholesterol levels, stress relaxant, increased immunity and many more. Its unique combination of fatty acids can have profound positive effects on health. It is considered as “superfood”. The scientists have found that coconut oil also reduces premature signs of aging. Its fatty acids have shown to speed up overall metabolism.
Olive Oil:
Olive oil is integral part of Mediterranean diet. It has many therapeutic benefits and suggested mostly be cardiologists. Replacing butter and other less healthy fats with olive oil has been shown to aid in the prevention of a myriad of diseases and counter effects of aging. Olive oil benefits are so extensive that it is considered a functional food with components that contribute to its overall therapeutic qualities including a reduction of risk factors of coronary heart disease, the prevention of cancers, and alterations of immune and inflammatory responses.
A prominent cardiologist recommends at least two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil each day for better health.
Omega 3 Fish oil:
It is the best type of fat produced by oily fish. It is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids which show positive impact on heart and brain health. Many Americans have turned to omega-3 fish oil supplements for its positive effect on health. It also has ability to aid in treatment of heart diseases, reduce cholesterol, weight loss, treatment of depression and anxiety. Omega 3 fish oil is also helpful in improving the skeletal system.
Flax Seed oil:
Flaxseed is a popular traditional food and remedy for many diseases. It is rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega 3 fatty acid and consumption of food in right amount has been shown to improve cardiovascular health. It also helps in preventing hair loss. It shows positive effects on skin, treating arthritis and many other health issues. It has positive effect which may help with symptoms of menopause and lower cholesterol.
