Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan multistarrer Gopala Gopala which has been released on the eve of Sankranthi is having a strong box-office run. The movie has received positive word of mouth all over and festival season is bringing huge crowds to the theatres. The movie has been directed by Kishore Pardasani who directed Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam in the past. A case has been registered a couple of days ago that the movie has insulted the people who support god.

A fresh case been registered by lawyers saying that the movie has insulted the lawyers which has added the fresh controversy on the movie. Shriya played the female lead in the movie and Anup Rubens composed the music. The movie has been produced by Suresh Babu on Suresh Productions banner. Sharat Marar co produced the movie on North Star Entertainments banner. The movie is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Oh My God.
