Victory Venkatesh pinned massive hopes on his next movie Guru which is said to be a sports drama. The movie is shot on a small budget and it is the remake of Bollywood movie Saala Khadoos. Venkatesh essayed the role of a boxing coach in the movie and Ritika Singh reprised her role from the original. Shot in Ooty, Vizag and Chennai, the entire shoot of the film has been wrapped up by December last year. Y NOT Studios produced the movie and Guru has been one of the most awaited films.

Guru released yesterday and the movie received decent response from the audience all over. Venkatesh’s performance has been widely praised by the audience and the movie received tremendous applause. Guru minted Rs 2.51 crores on its first day which is decent as per the released screens. The movie is expected to rake decent figures in its first weekend.
