Nag Pledges to Donate his Organs

After the likes of Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai, Nagarjuna is the latest celebrity in film industry to support a noble initiative like organ donation. Couple of years ago, Amala Akkineni had already signed up to donate her organs. Nagarjuna is going to take part in a huge campaign, which will be held on September 13th in Shilpa Kala Vedika to encourage more people to take up the cause. Several years ago, Nagarjuna and Amala had come forward to support another initiative to encourage donation of eyes. Of late, there has been an awareness about organ donation has grown manifold, thanks to celebrities who have been endorsing the cause quite openly. 

Apart from Nagarjuna, few other Telugu actors like Navdeep and Arvind Krishna have already pledged to donate their organs. Sources say that Nag has shown very much interest and wanted to bring awareness among the people. Nag is currently busy in the pre production of his next projects and also in launching his son Akhil Akkineni. Nag’s latest game show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu went on to become a huge hit and the brought some superb figures of TRP.
