Venky Strikes it Hard with Babu Bangaram

Victory Venkatesh tested his luck with Babu Bangaram which released recently. The movie has taken the advantage of Independence day weekend which released all over in record number of screens on August 12th. Maruthi directed Babu Bangaram and Nayanathara essayed the female lead’s role. The movie received mixed response from the audience all over and the critics too slammed the film revealing the content to be poor. However the movie stood strong and it collected Rs 15 crores in its opening weekend which is huge.
The collections of Babu Bangaram have been quite stable even over the weekdays and the movie has been minting huge money at the box-office. With Sai Dharamtej’s Thikka turning out to be a debacle, Babu Bangaram has been running with packed houses surprising the audience. The movie also minted Rs 3 crores in USA in its first weekend which is huge. Ghibran composed the music and Sithara Entertainments produced the film.
