Vishal Bharadwaj’s Rangoon

Top filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj who has recently come up with Haider has tasted success along with huge accolades for the movie. Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu played the main leads in the movie which has been shot exclusively in Kashmir. Now he is getting ready with his next film that has been titled as Rangoon. The movie is said to be a romantic entertainer with a historical backdrop. The movie is a triangular love story which has an interesting star cast. Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut will play the main leads in the movie as per the latest news.

Vishal Bharadwaj has confirmed the news about the movie and its title. He also revealed that Rangoon will be the most expensive film in his career till date. He also said that the film will focus on the era of Second World War. Further reminiscing about those days filled with bloodshed, the filmmaker added that there are many graves of Indian soldiers in Imphal and Manipur who had lost their lives during this period of World War. In Rangoon, he will portray the way Indians killed their own kith and kin because they were many who were fighting from the side of British Army against freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose and his Indian National Army.
