AirLift: A Stupendous Hit

Talented actor Akshay Kumar preferred patriotic films along with other genres and his recent outings Holiday: A Soldier is Ner Off Duty and Baby collected huge money all over along with receiving critical reception from the critics and the audience.

After some gap, he came up with Airlift which released on January 22^nd across the world. The movie has been directed by Raja Krishna Menon and is about a real life incident which is based on the biggest human evacuation in the world. Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur played the lead roles in the film.

Airlift opened to huge positive word of mouth and it dominated the box-office in its first week. Airlift collected Rs 100 crores across the world which is huge. The racy narration along with power packed action and the crisp run time made Airlift end up as a huge hit.

The movie minted Rs 83.50 crores among the domestic circles emerging as the highest first week grosser among Akshay Kumar’s films. The movie crossed Rowdy Rathore which grossed Rs 79.2 crores in its first week. Airlift collected Rs 26.53 crores among the International circles in its first week. On the whole, the film collected Rs 110.03 crores across the world in its first week which has been stupendous.

Akshay Kumar has been promoting the movie extensively and the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 40 crores.
