Jai Hind 2 Audio Launched

The gallantry of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who died fighting militants in Kashmir earlier this year, was recalled and his family honoured at the audio launch function of Arjun's Jai Hind 2. Departing from the usual format of having a film celebrity launch the audio, the audio was released by Arshea, the three-year-old daughter of the Major, who was awarded the Ashok Chakra posthumously. Surprisingly, director Bala, known for keeping a low profile, requested the family of the Major for a picture with him. Speaking at the event, he said, "In my entire career, I've never sought to take a picture with any actor nor have I preserved any picture for safe-keeping. However, I would like a picture with the family of Major Mukund."

Speaking on the occasion, actor Arjun thanked the Major's dad, Varadarajan, for being present at the event. He said, "I wanted to join the army but didn't do so as my mom was against me joining the armed forces. Patriotism can be shown in many ways and I intend to show my patriotism by stressing on the importance of education. This film is about a common man's perception of the education scenario in the country”. Jai Hind 2 will release in October. Arjun is currently busy with the pre production work for his next film and he will be directing his daughter Aishwarya Arjun.
