'I' Enters 100 Crore Club

Director Shankar's magnum opus 'I' has entered Rs 100 crores club in the opening weekend and the film is still going strong at box office despite the mixed reviews. In Tamil Nadu, 'I' has shattered all the records while outside the state, 'I' has set new bench mark. In Andhra Pradesh and Kerala states, 'I' collections were quite huge. The Telugu version of 'I' collected Rs 9 crores on the opening which is the highest for any dubbed film while the Hindi version minted Rs 6 crores.
However, 'I' which is made with a budget of Rs 175 crores, is yet to recover its investment while the makers hope the collections would be steady this week too. This is also the first film of hero Vikram that touched the 100 crore mark and became the third hero after Rajinikanth and Vijay.
'I' also features Amy Jackson and Upen Patel.
