Vijay Donates 25 Lakhs

Ilayathalapathy Vijay, who is known for his philanthropic work, has recently donated a big sum of money to the Director's Union for their development works. Apparently most of the directors were quite pleased and happy with Vijay's gesture. Vijay’s latest film Kaththi has been wrapped up and the audio of the film has been launched yesterday in an event organized in Leela Palace Hotel. The film stars Vijay and Samantha in the main lead directed by A R Murugadoss. Lyca Productions has produced the film and will release for Diwali.
A source in the know says, "Vijay donated 25 lakh to the Director's Union a couple of days ago. Vijay, however, kept it under wraps as he didn't want this to be publicised as news. But the fact is many directors feel that this is a whopping sum, and it was kind of the actor to have donated to the union. No actor has donated such a big sum till now. Vijay always wanted to do something for the directors who have a big hand in shaping his career and he thought of thanking them this way”.
