Analysis :
Lingaa movie starts with an interesting narration and gripping screenplay which continues its pace. The first half has lot of entertainment with funny one liners which bring hilarious laughs. The songs have been the barriers for the film which test our patience. On the whole the first half has everything except some good music.
The second half of the movie has been slow in terms of entertainment but the emotional scenes have been showcased well along with the story. The songs once again fail to bring out the feel in the film. The movie has been maintained well until the pre climax and the movie dips down in the climax badly. The graphics have not been realistic and the second half of the film ends OK.
Performance :
Rajinikanth has been superb as usual and his fans will have a treat with Lingaa once again. His screen presence has been stunning and he tried to manage himself with the things he has been excelled in. Anushka has done a regular role in which she has been seen and she was beautiful and performed good as usual. Sonakshi Sinha has done a challenging role in which she has done an excellent job. Santhanam has been hilarious and K Vishwanath has been apt. All others performed well.
The story of the movie has been good enough and the screenplay has been taken good care. The diolagues have been apt for the movie. The songs of the movie have been below the average and so is the background score. The photography has been one of the highlight of the movie. The production values have been grand enough and KS Ravikumar has succeeded in showcasing Rajinikanth in a film with all the elements. However except small mistakes, the director has done a decent job.
Final Word:
Lingaa is undoubtedly Rajinikanth’s movie and it’s a treat for his fans. Except the songs and un natural graphics, the movie has been entertaining. Lingaa is sure a worth watching film.
