Srimanthudu is the story of Harsha (Mahesh Babu) who is the son of a millionaire Ravi Kanth (Jagapathi Babu). He has his own plans and dreams about his career but he has been forced to take over the business by his father. This is the time he meets Charuseela (Sruthi Haasan) and comes to know about Rural Development Programs. In this process he gets attracted to her ideologies and gets inspired for them. At the same time he falls in love with her and he comes to know about the roots of his family and his village Devarakonda. He then decides to adopt the village and develop it. He will surrounded by evils and the rest of the movie is how he struggles to save his village from the evils and end up developing it. Watch the movie to know about the rest.

The first half of the film has been fresh and entertaining through it. It takes some time to know about the characters in the movie and Mahesh’s one liners have been outstanding throughout. The songs have been shot beautifully and the content has been handled with utmost care. The emotional episodes have been balanced well and the racy pre interval episodes make the film catch pace. On the whole the first half of the film has been dominating and decent.

For a film like Srimanthudu which has been casted with stars, the second half is crucial and as expected the second half of the film has been filled with racy action episodes and huge dose of emotional drama. The scenes connect straight with the audience and have lot of impact. Though there are scenes that have been boring, the complete second half of the movie has been outstanding and the climax has been short and simple. On the whole the second half is a perfect take in all the aspects.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is undoubtedly the main asset for the film. His characterization along with the one liners and his presence on screen has been taken care well. He has been matured a lot in Srimanthudu and this will be his best performance till date. Sruthi Haasan has been gorgeous with her performance as well as with her glamour throughout the movie. Jagapathi Babu played a tailor made role and Rajendra Prasad has been efficient. Mukesh Rushi and Sampath Raj took out the force as the opponents elevating the film with their power. All the other characters have well written and well showcased on screen.

The story of the film is quite simple with a strong message. The characters have been written well. The screenplay and the dialogues of the film need a special mention. The movie has been clean without a single cut. The cinematography of the movie has been outstanding and is the back bone of the film. The music and the background score make the film well elevated and are additional assets. The production values have been terrific all through and the rich visuals reveals the taste of the producers. Koratala Siva will sure make his place in the league of top directors in Tollywood. His writing skills and the way of handling the film with the right commercial ingredients are his strengths and he proved them once again with Srimanthudu.

Final Word:

Srimanthudu is a perfect comeback film for Mahesh Babu. He has excelled throughout the movie and the powerful action episodes along with the strong emotional content makes the film outstanding.
