Krishna Vachan (Sundeep Kishan) is a fun going guy who falls in love with a girl during his childhood days. He dreams of aspiring big and when he is on his way to an ATM he gets stuck in the traffic. Mango (Nithya Menen) who loves to live with individuality has been forced by his grandfather to get married to a bride who is selected. To avoid this bride seeking ceremony, Nithya escapes through a share auto and lands on the same flyover. Pakistani terrorist Anwar (Ravi Kishan) plans a bomb blast on the flyover to release a jailed terrorist Aslam (Rahul Dev) from Charlapalli Jail. The entire first half offers nothing much as it has been completely out of the plot. With number of comedians taking charge, the unnecessary comedy episodes make no impact on the audience. The love story has not been convincing and the songs have been shot well. The pre-interval episodes have been decent and the movie catches pace during the interval episodes. On the whole the first half of Oka Ammayi Thappa is below the average line.

The second half of the film takes pace for some time but the bad execution of the film is a huge mistake from the director. The movie misses the reality in each and every episode. Though the major plot has been interesting, it is the narration which makes the film fall flat. With nothing much to reveal during the climax, Oka Ammayi Thappa is a huge debacle on the whole that fails to impress the audience.

Sundeep Kishan is one actor who proved his acting skills and is waiting for much needed commercial break. He has been outstanding with his performance throughout the film and he did a decent job. Nithya Menen has been decent in the limited role and she did not have much scope to perform. All the other actors have been decent in their assignments.

The story of the movie has been quite interesting but it is the screenplay which differs completely. It has not been well written and the dialogues have been just ok. The music has been decent and couple of songs have been shot well. The cinematography is the major asset of the film and the production values have been grand enough. The director fails completely in executing a decent and interesting plot.

Oka Ammayi Thappa has an interesting plot but the movie falls flat because of the poor execution and the presentation. Sundeep Kishan and Nithya Menen shines well in their assigned role.
