Jayadev Analysis :
Jayadev is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster Sethupathi. Though the film has an interesting plot, it has not been narrated in an engaging and interesting way. The entire first half looks akward as nothing has been showcased well. The songs act as barriers and not even a single song impresses the audience. The action episodes have been shot well and the interval episodes make no impact. On the whole, the first half of Jayadev has nothing much to feel.
The second half of Jayadev too makes no impact and the emotionless journey of a cop tests the patience of the audience. The loose execution of the film kill Jayadev completely and the interesting pre-climax episodes make no impact. A simple and predictable climax make Jayadev come to an end and the songs once again fail to make much impact. Manisharma’s background score has been impressive and the action episodes look decent in the second half.
Jayadev Performance :
Ganta Ravi disappoints the audience with his performance and he needs to improve in all the aspects. He is sure not a hero material and it is hard for the audience to accept him as an actor. Malvika Raj looks decent and her glamorous acts are a treat for the masses. Vinod Kumar has been serious and apt in the assigned role. Posani Krishna Murali and Vennela Kishore keep the audience laughing throughout. All the other actors have been decent.
Jayadev has an interesting story which can be adopted into an impressive commercial entertainer. But the screenplay and the dialogues make much difference and are the major reasons for the film’s downfall. The music looks bad and the background score has been decent. The cinematography and the editing looks ok. The production values have been grand and Jayanth C Paranjee fails to step out with a commercial entertainer.
Final Word:
Jayadev is one bad film that fails in all the available ways and can be given a huge skip. Ganta Ravi is not a hero material and he needs to improve in all the aspects.
