Vaisakham Analysis :
Vaisakham starts on an interesting and impressive note. The entertainment has been carried well and it takes enough time to go into the story. The love story has been outdated however it is the performances by the lead actors that make the film passable. The songs have been ok and some of the episodes look dragged completely. On the whole the first half of Vaisakham has its moments but this alone is not enough to impress the audience.
The second half of Vaisakham takes the lead and turns interesting after the flashback episodes starts rolling. Saikumar makes a strong impact with his performance and the makers managed to reveal a social message for youth along with an interesting lovestory. However the outdated narration makes the film fall flat and makes no impact. The songs have been shot across some beautiful locales and the climax ends on an average note.
Vaisakham Performance :
Harish who made his debut with Prema Ishq Kadal took a massive break and he signed Vaisakham. He has been simple and performed the assigned role with utmost ease. His performance is one among the major highlights of the film. His body language looked hilarious.Avantika Mishra is talented and gorgeous. She is here to stay and she even has been exceptional with her dance moves. Saikumar makes a massive impact with an interesting role and he leads the complete second half. Rama Prabha, Kasi Viswanath, Krishna Bhagawan and Prudhvi have been decent in their scenes. All the other actors have been decent.
The story of Vaisakham has nothing much new to reveal. The screenplay and the dialogues should have taken enough care and they have not been handled well. The music and the background score have been ok and the cinematography is the major asset of Vaisakham. The production values looked decent and B Jaya has been decent at parts but her outdated narration makes Vaisakham fall flat.
Final Word:
Vaisakham is a romantic entertainer that makes no impact because of the dragged narration though it has enough dose of entertainment. Harish and Saikumar steals the show.
