After a massive blockbuster like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt teamed up for the sequel which has been titled Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie is said to be a hilarious comedy entertainer laced with romance. The movie released on March 10th all over and it received exceptional response from the audience. Gauhar Khan, Mohit Marwah, Akanksha Singh played the other crucial roles in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Amaal Malik, Tanishk Bagchi and Akhil Sachdeva composed the music for Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a smashing hit and it has been termed as the first blockbuster of the year. Badrinath Ki Dulhania crossed Rs 70 crore mark in the country in its first week itself. With no big releases and the recent movies turning duds, the movie had a strong second week and a third weekend. Badrinath Ki Dulhania made Rs 107.69 crores in 17 days in the country. It has been revealed that Badrinath Ki Dulhania minted over Rs 100 crores abroad which is huge.
