Young actress Sonam Kapoor took her time to prove her mettle and once she has been widely lauded for her performance, she has been signing interesting films. She received standing ovation for her performance in the movie Neerja and at the same time Sonam Kapoor increased her glamorous quotient. She has been mostly spotted in fashion outings and her glamorous acts have been a treat for the audience. The latest news is that she signed an interesting film.

Sonam Kapoor will be seen as a tabla player in her upcoming movie which has been titled Padman. Talented director R Balki will direct the film and Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte are the lead actors in the movie. Sonam Kapoor is currently practising tabla under the supervision of tabla player Mukta Madan Raste. The movie is set in the backdrop of Varanasi and Akshay, Radhika are currently shooting for Padman. Sonam Kapoor is yet to join the film’s sets.
