Mary Kom picks up on Day 3

Priyanka Chopra's sports biopic 'Mary Kom' may have been the toughest role the actress has played till date but the box office collections for the film were slow. However, the film picked up on the third day taking up the weekend collections higher. The weekend collections for the film according to a report were Rs 27.50 crores. The first day collections were decent at Rs 7.5 crores but the film picked up on Saturday and went a little higher on Sunday.
No competition from any other film over the weekend can also be a reason for it to have done well. A sports biopic isn't usually a crowd puller and the slow start 'Mary Kom' saw at the box office can be because of this. The film is tax free in various states and this can be a good reason for the movie to mint more money from the audiences. Let's see how much the money the film makes at the box office.
