Supreme Court over Nude PK poster

Aamir Khan made headlines when he recently unveiled the first look poster of his film PK. The said poster created quite a stir thanks to the almost nude image of Aamir Khan, whose modesty was saved by a transistor. However, the poster featuring the actor failed to go down well with a certain segment of the audience. In fact a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) had been filed against Aamir Khan and the director of the film Rajkumar Hirani seeking a ban on the exhibition of the poster.

However, the latest news is that the Supreme Court has dismissed the plea telling the petitioner that if they did not like the poster then don't watch the film, but do not bring in religious facets, especially since these matters pertain to the field of entertainment and arts. The said petition had been filed by the All India Human Rights and Social Justice Front, alleging that the film promotes nudity and pleaded the apex court to immediately intervene in the matter. PK that is slated for release towards the end of the year also features Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt.
